Dr. Mululuma is a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Zambia and a Master of Science in Sustainable Rural Development in the Tropics from the University of Edinburgh. He holds a Certificate in Contagious Bovine Pleuro-Pneumonia Epidemiology & Diagnostics from Centre de Cooperation Internationale en Researche Agronomique pour le Development (CIRAD), Montpellier and a certificate in Sustainable Livestock Production Systems Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, Hokkaido.
His career in the Civil Service started in 1995 as a District Sub- programme Manager. He rose through the ranks up to position of Principal Veterinary Officer, Regulation and Control Unit, Department of Veterinary Services.
He has been with E-SLIP since 2007.
He is an experienced Financial and Management Accountant with over 15 years working experience.
He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Lusaka, a Master of Commerce in Development Finance from University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business, a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree in Accounting, and a CIMA Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting. He is an affiliate member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, and the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy.
Mulia holds a Degree in Business Purchasing and Supply Chain Management from Greenwich University, she also holds a Graduate Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supplies (CIPS)..
As Procurement and Contracts Manager, Mulia is responsible for managing procurement processes and contract administration as well as planning, supervising and coordinating procurement activities for works, goods and services at the PCO.
She is also responsible for ensuring that all procurements are carried out in accordance with Zambia Public Procurement Act and its regulations and ensure due diligence to comply with IFAD Procurement Handbook Guidelines.
Natasha Mhango is a Communications Specialist whose work has focused on media production on issues of rural and agriculture development. Through her work, she has developed skills in web editing, social media content development as well as organization of information assets.
She is a member of Vice the African Agri-Media Network and a member of the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development (CADDP) network of journalists in which she once served as its vice president.
Ms Mhango holds a Bachelors’ degree in Mass Communication and a Masters in Public Administration with over 13 years of experience working as a writer and editor in both the private and public sector.
Mr. Miyanda Hakantu is a holder of a Masters Degree in Rural Development and Management Studies from China Agricultural University and a Bachelors of Science in Agricultural Economics. He also holds a certificate in Financial Appraisal and Risk Analysis and Economic Analysis.
Mr. Miyanda Hakantu has 8 years experience working in the Public Sector as a Senior Programme Planner. He role is mostly coordinating monitoring and evaluation of both Government and Donor supported programmes and activities in the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock. Further, he coordinates bilateral, regional and multilateral cooperation with various countries and organizations. He has been working as a focal point person for the SADC secretariat for the past 5 years. He has vast experience in programme design, planning and budgeting.
Mr Elemson Muyanga is a seasoned development practitioner who started his career in the development sector in 2003 with the SNV/Netherlands Development Organisation. Over the years, he has worked for the United States Africa Development Foundation (USADF) in a consultancy role, a USAID funded project as Grants Manager, and the Smallholder Agribusiness Promotion Programme (SAPP) as a consultant in agribusiness finance and investments. Aside from over 20 years’ experience in investment finance and financial management, his other competencies include project design, project management, capacity building, consultancy, and provision of business development services to SMEs and smallholder farmers.
Over the last 5 years, Mr Muyanga served as the Agribusiness and Grants Manager for the closed Enhanced Smallholder Agribusiness Promotion Programme (E-SAPP) under the Ministry of Agriculture, a role which has transitioned to the Enhanced Smallholder Livestock Investment Programme (E-SLIP). Among his achievements in this role has been the establishment of 506 Farming as a Business Schools in in which 43,304 farmers (22,686 females, 20,618 males, and among them 16,413 youths) were trained and mentored in agribusiness and best production practices in 21 focal districts across the country. To achieve this, Mr Muyanga coordinated the activities of the Technical Working Group responsible for developing the training materials; namely the facilitation guides for extension workers and the training modules.
As head of the agribusiness unit, Mr Muyanga also superintended the Matching Grants Facility where 51 farmer owned enterprises and 12 SMEs were or are to be supported with investments in equipment and infrastructure for production, value addition, and marketing. He was also part of the team that drafted the Zambia National Agribusiness Development Strategy (ZNADS).
Mr Muyanga is a fellow of both the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) which membership he has held since 2009. He also holds a Bachelor of Laws degree and a Master of Business Administration degree.
Tamara holds a CA Application Advanced diploma in Accountancy (ZQF Level 7) and a National Accounting Technician certificate from Zambia institute of chartered accountants. She is ccurrently pursuing CA Advisory Professional in Accountancy.
She has over 11 years of work experience in the accounting field. 5years in banking and financial services environment where she acquired various skills, training and certificates among others fraud detection and risk management. 6 years in public sector accounting which has exposed her to various government accounting procedures.
Tamara is also a registered member of Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Mr. Kaumba holds a Graduate Diploma in Purchasing and Supply Management from Evelyn Hone College, Zambia.
Mr Kaumba has extensive knowledge in stores management for the efficient and effective stores management system in order to enhance the provision of quality goods to the programme. He ensures that goods received conform to the approved specifications, quantities and stores records are maintained at all times.
He is passionate about quality control, compliance and stock parameters to effectively control stock and avoid overstocking and stock out in stores management. He makes sure the goods reaches intended beneficiaries.
Willard has been a loyal member of staff at E-SLIP and continues to contribute diligently to the office administration. He has developed all-round knowledge on the workings of all components and sub components and is renowned for his efforts towards his personal development.
Through his work, he has demonstrated that he has acquired extensive knowledge in the categories of procurement of goods, works, consultancy services and non-consultancy services as well as the supply chain management with disciplines such as procurement planning, procurement management, and economic regulations in public institutions including donor funded projects such as the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
Willard holds a Diploma in Purchasing and Supply Management from the Mulungushi University in association with Evelyn Hone College of Applied Art and Commerce. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Procurement and Supplies with ZCAS University.
Dr. Mabuku holds a Master of Science degree in Veterinary Epidemiology and Public Health from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London, UK. He also holds a Bachelor degree in Veterinary Medicine (BVM) from the University of Zambia.
Dr. Mabuku has extensive knowledge in the protection of human health through safe production of food of animal origin, Disease outbreak investigation, control of tick- borne diseases particularly East Coast Fever (ECF), zoonotic diseases and appropriate use of antimicrobials particularly in food animals.
He is passionate about the control of East Coast Fever (ECF) using the Infection and Treatment Method (ITM) mode of Immunization. He has participated in the expansion of the ESLIP program to ensure that more small holder farmers in the rural communities adopt the animal disease control methods thereby uplifting their livelihoods. He has done this through ensuring successful field implementation of the program by undertaking effective sensitization and awareness activities.
Benson Bowa is a bona fide graduate of The University of Zambia (UNZA), School of Veterinary Medicine. Currently, he is a Veterinary Research Officer (VRO) and Head of Bacteriology unit at Central Veterinary Research Institute (CVRI) in the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock (MFL). He is also a Technical Signatory for two Contagious Bovine Pleuropneumonia (CBPP) serological Tests; Complement Fixation Test (CFT) and Competitive Enzyme Linked immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) that are accredited by the Southern African Development Community Accreditation Services (SADCAS) at CVRI.
Benson has been Research Assistant in two studies and Assistant Principal Investigator in one study under the CBPPP CVRI/GALVmed Project and has co-authored in four scientific research publications on CBPP.
Additionally, he played a leading role in the production of the first ever Contagious Bovine Pleuropneumonia (CBPP) Compliment Fixation Test (CFT) antigen in Zambia.
Benson is registered veterinary surgeon with the Veterinary Council of Zambia (VCZ) and a member of the Veterinary Association of Zambia (VAZ).
Dr. Johns Nyirongo has over 18 years of experience and significant contributions to the smallholder Livestock sector in Zambia and across the Southern Africa region. He combines an educational foundation in veterinary medicine and several hands-on courses endowing him with the ability to identify and tackle key technical and management obstacles impacting entry along the Livestock value chains—from mobilizing communities into formal group entities (cooperatives) and flourishing agribusinesses to market network linkage creation among value chain actors.
Dr Nyirongo consults for Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock mandated to establish Sustainable Livestock Production and Productivity Systems among Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock extension staff focusing on establishing sustainable forage and forage seed production systems, Development of Livestock watering points, and establishing sustainable Stocking and Restocking Pass-on Scheme.
He holds a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) from the University of Zambia and a Certificate in Bovine Artificial Insemination from Ireen Institute of South Africa.
Nkole holds a Master of Science Degree in Animal Science from the University of Queensland Australia. Also, she holds a Bachelor Degree in Agricultural Science from the University of Zambia.
Nkole is passionate about conserving the environment, at the same time promoting the adoption of Climate Smart Agriculture technologies among rural small-holder farmers to improve their livelihoods.
Nkole has extensively contributed to the programme through the coordination and implementation of field programs, including contributing to the establishment of rangelands in the country, and together with the participation of the rural communities are in the process of improving the quality and quantity of rangeland resources. More so, she is committed to promoting forage development and forage networks among rural small holder farmers.
He holds a Bachelor of Science with Agriculture (Bsc.Agric) from the University of Zambia. He also holds a Certificate in Seed Inspection from the Seed Control and Certification Institute (SCCI).
He has experience in farmer extension having worked with smallholder farmer systems for more than 7 years. He brings in vast extension approaches which has contributed to the programme in a great way. Among the notable contributions are initiating the Zambia forage network, Rangeland improvement programmes with communities. He has also contributed to setting up the road map for stocking and restocking programme in Zambia.
He has also contributed to setting up and creating an organized pasture/Forage seed production system in Zambia.
Mwape Wilson Mweni holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Sciences with a Major in Animal Science and a Master of Climate Change and Sustainable Development.
He has work experience in farm management and public sector extension delivery. In his extension work, livestock production and productivity promotion has been significant, especially among smallholder livestock producers who rely mostly on public extension services.
Before joining E-SLIP, he had an opportunity to spearhead livestock development activities at provincial and district level. During this period, he participated in facilitating and implementing various government projects such as E-SAPP, LDAHP, APMEP, ZDTP; with collaborative works with several developmental organizations; DAZ, MUSIKA, PARMALAT, SNV, Heifer international.
With climate change becoming a reality, he has developed interest in promotion of climate action so that food security and natural resources can be safeguarded and sustainably managed in local community.
